Namaste Yoga + Wellness is proud to be the East Bay's largest yoga studio, with two beautiful studio locations serving Oakland, Berkeley, and the greater Bay Area. Whether you're commuting from Piedmont, Emeryville, Albany, or San Francisco, our Rockridge and Lake Merritt studios are conveniently located and easily accessible by car, bike, or public transit. Each location has been thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, welcoming space for practitioners of all levels.

Rockridge Studio

Our Rockridge studio sits at the heart of one of Oakland's most beloved neighborhoods, just steps from the Berkeley border along College Avenue. This vibrant corridor is home to independent bookstores, artisan coffee shops, and locally owned boutiques, making it the perfect destination to pair a yoga class with an afternoon of exploring. The studio is within easy walking distance of the Rockridge BART station, giving practitioners a convenient, car-free commute from anywhere on the BART line, including San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and beyond.

The Rockridge neighborhood is known for its tree-lined streets, Craftsman-era homes, and strong sense of community. Our studio reflects that character with warm natural finishes, abundant natural light, and a welcoming lobby where students regularly linger before and after class. The space features multiple practice rooms that can accommodate everything from intimate workshops to full-sized vinyasa classes. We offer heated and non-heated rooms, so you can choose the environment that best supports your practice.

Getting here: The Rockridge studio is accessible via AC Transit bus lines along College Avenue and Telegraph Avenue. Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood, with additional metered spots along College Avenue. The Rockridge BART station is approximately a five-minute walk from the studio. Bike racks are available outside the building, and the neighborhood is very bike-friendly with dedicated lanes connecting to North Oakland, Berkeley, and the Temescal district.

The Rockridge location draws students from across North Oakland, Montclair, Claremont, Temescal, and the Berkeley hills. Its proximity to Highway 24 and Highway 13 also makes it convenient for practitioners commuting from Orinda, Lafayette, and other Lamorinda communities. Whether you're a morning practitioner catching a 6 AM flow before work or an evening student unwinding after a long day, the Rockridge studio offers a full schedule designed to fit your life.

Lake Merritt Studio

Our Lake Merritt studio is located in the heart of Oakland's Grand Lake district, one of the city's most dynamic and culturally rich neighborhoods. Situated near the shores of Lake Merritt—Oakland's crown jewel and the nation's oldest designated wildlife refuge—this studio offers a unique setting where urban energy meets natural beauty. The Grand Lake neighborhood is anchored by the iconic Grand Lake Theatre marquee and surrounded by diverse restaurants, farmers markets, and independent shops along Grand Avenue and Lakeshore Avenue.

The Lake Merritt studio features spacious practice rooms with hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a serene atmosphere that draws inspiration from the lake's calming presence just blocks away. Many of our students enjoy combining their practice with a walk or run around the 3.4-mile Lake Merritt path before or after class. The studio offers a full range of class styles including vinyasa, hatha, restorative, yin, and specialty workshops throughout the year.

Getting here: The Lake Merritt studio is served by multiple AC Transit bus lines along Grand Avenue, Lakeshore Avenue, and MacArthur Boulevard. The Lake Merritt and 19th Street BART stations are both accessible, with a short bus transfer or approximately a fifteen-minute walk. Street parking is available on surrounding residential streets, and metered parking can be found along Grand Avenue and Lakeshore Avenue. The studio is also easily reached by bike, with the Lake Merritt bike path connecting to cycling routes throughout Oakland and beyond.

The Grand Lake location serves students from the Lakeshore, Adams Point, Trestle Glen, Piedmont, Crocker Highlands, and Glenview neighborhoods. Its central Oakland position makes it especially convenient for those working in downtown Oakland, Jack London Square, and the Uptown district. With classes running from early morning through the evening, the Lake Merritt studio is a welcoming refuge no matter what your schedule looks like.
